No landing fees, but BBQ donations welcome, surplus goes to the Strut Charitable fund.

No fuel, if fuel required try Popham or Thruxton airfields.

Barton Ashes strip is a challenging strip with an ‘interesting’ approach. Whilst suited more to taildragger types it regularly has C172/PA28 types visiting. Strip experience would be useful, if you’re only use to landing on 1000 metres of concrete – Barton Ashes is not for you. All aircraft land at pilot’s discretion, nearest diversion airfields are Popham or Thruxton.

OK to arrive by road (entry by R/W33 threshold), families welcome.

Fly-In held by kind permission of the strip owner, Paul Grellier, Airweld
