Sligo Aviation Weekend - Tribute to Pat Gallagher

Just a reminder that ILAS (Irish Light Aviation Society) and Sligo Light Aviation Club are hosting a Weekend of Aviation at Sligo Airport, (EISG) on Ireland's scenic North West coast this weekend.

The event has been organised to recognise the contribution made to GA by the late Captain Pat Gallagher, LAA Coach, Test pilot, homebuilder, and one of life's true gentlemen.

As part of the tribute, ILAS are launching the Patrick Gallagher Wing (strut) and presenting a number of workshops at Sligo Airport over the weekend. A plaque marking Pats contribution to aviation will be unveiled jointly by a local MP and the ILAS president. Saturday night celebrations include a buffet dinner and song & dance late into the night - music is provided by Flybe Crew ....

We would encourage you to make "one last trip" before the autumn days curtail any long distance travel - feedback from weather gods is also promising.
