Turweston will be holding a fly-in on October 20th to celebrate our 70th Anniversary.
Turweston was opened in 1942 as an OTU operating Wellingtons and Mitchells.
It was also home to the Armys stock of Bren Gun carriers and other vehicles during the early fifties and a small gliding club during the seventies and eighties.
The airfield re-opened in 1994 using part of the old main runway (recently extended and widened to 1250m of smooth tarmac).
Now home to the LAA and a large selection of aircraft of varied types.
Everybody welcome and landing fees cut in half to £5.00 on the day for any aircraft.
