B.B. fly-in
First one (for 2009) next Saturday at Tibenham.21st Feb.
Its a normal gliding day so keep a good lookout. No ppr required,(they are expecting us.)
Radio( not mandatory but advised 129.975) .This is the air ground gliding frequency and applies to neighbouring sites so preface and end transmitions clearly with " tibenham."
Normal landing fee applies (£6).
I will buy the first 5 crews tea!
Breakfasts available all day or soup and roll, bacon butties etc.
For weather on the day, runway info etc I will be on site from 8am.07876444451.
Runways big enough for a jumbo in 6 directions!
Visitors welcome by road.
Lets see if we can re-create the informal atmosphere of the early PFA style get togethers or "rallyes" as they became known.

WOW, we had about 60 aircraft, loads of RV,s a few Sports Criusers and every thing from flexwings to Beech Bonanza. What a turnout!!!
I was run ragged and the cafe just about coped but ran out of most things by the end of the day.
The glider boys still managed to fly around all the comings and goings but it got quite busy about dinner time and I did see one or two people dissapear after a few attenpts at getting in.
Once every thing died down around tea time we managed to get the Tipsy Nipper airbourn for its first post assembly flight so a perfect day.
I admitt to being a bit overwhelmed,no doubt the good weather [My initials ARE J.C.] had something to do with the good turnout.
I enjoyed the day altough it was hard work but the pay-off was the huge number of smiling faces.
Thanks for your support.

"Hot on the heels of the last success"
LT RISSINGTON.I visited this site to confirm the next fly-in.Its a lovely place to go although no cafe etc as far as I am aware. Lots of interesting home based aircraft to look at.
Lets see if we can get the weather gods to smile again!
All details www.Devonair.net
NOTE STRICTLY PPR.
SAT 21st March.
Edited.Pics of last event on PPrune and Air-Britain websights.
Please note that I have arranged the fly-in to Lt Rissington because I was asked to.I commend it as a venue but do not support its "no flexwing" rule.

JC, glad you had a good turnout at Tibenham! Hope the weather is good for Little Rissington as I intend to be there.
I note that Devonair dont mention the fly-in on their website. Also I presume visitors by road are welcome- Devonair are usually welcoming to enthusiasts visiting by road.
Looking forward to seeing lots of people there.
