Public access for forum Fly-In section - experimental period

In response to requests from LAA members organising fly-ins, for an experimental period, we are opening the ‘Fly In’ section of the LAA website to everyone. That means non-members can post and no log-in is required.

This provides a facility where everyone can publicise and exchange information on fly-ins, wherever they are.

We hope everyone will respect this area (no spamming, slander, libel, abuse, etc). If any inappropriate posts are noticed, please email the moderator [email protected] immediately.

It's possible web bots will target this section and make its use in this format untenable. We have not allocated further resources to changing the log-in process to allow non-members access to particular sections. As ever, we welcome input (work) from interested techie types!

It should be noted that events publicised within this forum may, or may not be supported by the LAA.

Peter Harvey.

Like I asked a day or two ago on the equivalent BB fly-In sub section:

But perhaps this should have been marked for the att'n. of PETER HARVEY !

Are you posting notice of this FREE access with the BMAA forum and the Pprune and any others such as Flyer ?

Plus regular reminder notices also programmed to be sent for new readers coming to these fora ?

I ask as I do read them and they have remained strangely silent on this Earth breaking departure by the LAA.

[Note they are all free access so the LAA should be able to post easily & without hindrance].

Yes I have notified the other forums, if you search you will see it slipped well down the list.
I am underwhelmed by the response .It seems poeple that frequent all these forums, with one or two notable excepions, would rather winge than do !
All the other forums moaned because our fly ins were not advertised on THEIR forum.
Now they have access.....not ONE reply!
I really despair..........

Don't despair John.

It'll take a while for folk to get used to this new & free LAA facility.

Me ?

Well my excuse is I've spent the last four free days harrowing, rolling & fencing the strip, so approved PPO visitors may now request the Approach pix & data.
 And I've been missing the while, the current crop of excellent flying wx.

Can anything be done about the advertising SPAM that is now inhabiting this section?
