As a fellow Eurostar owner I can suggest the Rotax 912 Heavy Maintenance Manual, section 74 the Ignition System.

The manual is excellent and gives a full description with diagrams and is the definitive reference on the Rotax engine.

If you go here:

http://www.rotax-aircraft-engines.com/a_searchdoc.aspx

and enter 912 UL in 'engine type' and Maintenance Manual (Heavy) in 'document type' and you will see the manual plus any revisions. Open the manual and go to section 74.

Hopefully this will tell you everything that you need to know.

If it's in an aircraft I hope it never breaks down - period.
Given the relative reliability of electronic ignition vs points and condensers I know which I'd rather have.
