Old fuel
Hi Peeps.
We're re-activating a GY 201 Gardan Minicab which hasn't been flown for 12 years. It's got about 12 gallons of LL100 in the tank. Must we drain and dump this fuel or could it still be ok after all that time?
Best wishes,
Mort

Does highlight a difference between Mogas and Avgas.
I'd expect 12 gallons of mogas to have evaporated in the meantime (leaving a nasty goo behind!). Even if some had remained I'd doubt the engine would start on it.
Drain it but keep it and use it for cleaning purposes.
