Can anybody help me source either new or second-hand brake shoe's for the old style bladder and six shoe's on the Jodel. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Tony, there have been a number of mods to 117s to change the brakes to either 'normal' drum brakes or discs. I changed to discs years ago because the bladder brakes were so unreliable but mine was a homegrown set up using go-kart parts and possibly a conversion to conventional brake shoes would be an easier option. LAA engineering may have details of a brake mod.
If you are happy with the existing system you could probably make up some shoes using materials from a custom brake shoe company. I believe that's what the late Brian Lamb did with his.
