Hi does anyone know where I can get small quantities of 28 gauge or .4mm galvanized sheet? My firewall on the Avid is needing modified and it is constructed from this material!
Regards John.

If it's standard sheet you need, profiled roofing sheet dealers or an agricultural equipment outlet will sell you an 8ft x 4ft flat galvanised sheet for £40 or so. That's what I paid last year.

I've tried steel stockists and local fabrication firms, but with no success. Never thought about roofers?
If you succeed in finding an 8' x 4' sheet, I'd be happy to split it with you, as I need something for my Pietenpol firewall? I'm near Banbury.
Cheers.

Maybe worth trying air conditioning/ventilation engineers who use galvanised sheeting for making bespoke air ducting. Probably have off cuts big enough for what you want for the price of a drink.
