Glass fuel filter. Mod required?

Post by cardiffrob » Thu Sep 17, 2009 10:45 am

I had a look through the LAA site and google for it but had no luck. Isn't there a mod required that uses a spring to hold the filter in place? I seem to have lost the details. Has anyone got a link to it?

Cheers

Rob, it's MPD 2008 004. I keep the MPD's in my faves so not sure where it would be in the Engineering pages offhand. I'm sure you'll be able to locate it.

Thanks. I've found it.

The new filter assembly I've got has a different method of holding the filter gauze in place and it has no separate nut since the new shaft has a cast-in flange instead of a nut. The only way to release the filter gauze is to physically remove both ends of the filter assembly completely. I guess this is a factory mod to cover the MPD?

If any of you need the spring for the mod, I have some in stock.
