Permit renewal after more than 1 year lapsed

Can anyone tell me if there is a specific testing requirement for renewing a permit when the previous one expired over 12 months ago ?

I am assuming that more than the usual test flight will be required.

Aircraft is a Rans S6 which has been re-skinned, engine overhauled and generally had a thoroughly good fettling.

Thanks folks

Shouldn't be a problem. Get your Inspector to look at it then submit the paperwork to Engineering as usual. They will authorise the Test flight as the Inspector can't in this case.(over one year since expiry) Carry out the Test and submit the results with the usual Permit Renewal fee.

What may hold things up is if accident repairs have been carried out or if modifications are pending.

All being well, Bob's your uncle and you're flying again. :D

Thanks Sandy,

It seems straightforward then, as it isn't accident damage and there are no modifications involved. Should have her up again soon :)

How did you know that my mothers brother was called Robert?
