can these in any way fail-- so as to stop flow of fuel going through them ..

type is 40--105 low pressure unit cube shape type
they apparently are some kind of solenoid type pump

In theory they should always flow fuel but as there is no inlet filter may be it has some crud blocking it. BTW what engine is this on? as I have tested this pump but at full throttle on a 912 S it does not flow enough and actually drops the fuel pressure when switched on. Please bear in mind this is a FULL throttle. I know what they claim as the fuel flow but this seems a bit optimistic.........

have you had a look inside one
i am realy wanting to know if or when it stops or fails , is there any way it will stop fuel flowing through it....
i have another pump upstream of it so this aspect is realy important
or i will go to a split 2 pumps on 2 different circiuts

Be carfull of using facet pumps in series as they will keep adding pressure.Easy way to exceed the maximum fuel pressure for carbs.

Use them in parallel and fit non return check valves to stop reverse flow through the pumps.
