Transair do a neat remote PTT, velcros onto a column or stick etc, large red button(!) and works fine with an A20 - I have one on the T craft.
As long as the ICOM unit you are considering has a compatible plug, it will work, in fact you can make your own if you can get the right plug, there isn't even a polarity issue.
