Heated handlebar grips

Having just fitted heated handlebar grips to my Yamaha TRX 850 motorcycle, it occurred to me that it might be an idea to fit some of these to the aircraft's control sticks to keep one's hands toasty in winter. They draw a maximum of 4 amps, and one can control the heat output. If your hands are warm, the rest of you is warm.

Has anyone ever tried this mod? Might they interfere with radio or GPS?

I always though that applied to feet!

Good idea though.

I wonder if the flexwing boys have tried it. Then again, I suppose electrically heated gloves would be easier for them...

I've also got a 12v electrically-heated waistcoat: I might try that out too!
