Propeller Tape

All,

Years ago, I had a roll of heavy duty prop tape. I can't remember if I used it all or lost it, but trying to source some more is proving extremely difficult! I've bought some from one company, and had a sample sent from another, but they're both as thin as Sellotape. Could anyone advise me of where I might obtain some of the real 'heavy duty' stuff please?

LAS supply prop tape:
http://www.lasaero.com/site/part/detail ... -TAPE-2%22

Also, have a look at:
http://www.dimpletape.com/article.htm

This second website is about "dimple tape", a sort of VG (vortex generator) equivalent for propellers.

Trevor,

Thanks for your response. I'll give them both a go.

Did you manage to source the prop dimple tape ?

I read the mentioned article and googled for the product, to come up with a USA personal direct order form at $4.95 per ft min quantity 10 ft., etc. No width is quoted.
From the picture it's more on the flat of the prop rather than than the leading edge, where if it does go that far I suppose it'd double up as a protector ?
Judging from the site, even in the mighty US market its take up seems low.

LAS web address has only plain 2" wide tape at £1 per ft. & presumably not the US Patented stuff.

Has anyone tried it in the last dozen years since it was publicised ?
