I want to fit a Trig 21 transponder.
Can I do this myself? Has anyone experience? What are the test regimes, paperwork requirements? I've looked on the Engineering site but can find nothing relating.[/b]

I did it, fitted it, added new fuse and wire, added antenna and ground plane, made up a cable using the recommended rf type, showed it to my inspector, filled in in a form, did a flight test & checked code with Luton, sent it off to LAA - It was all quite simple. There is a form for a radio/transponer install.

And no fee I understand. I sent in a mod fee for a radio installation which was refunded as they don't charge for it.

As gdbird suggests it is very straightforward. It is worth talking it over with your inspector, and all wiring etc must be up to standard.
