Hi folks,

I'm looking for the current regulations for the carriage of a fire extinguisher in a permit aircraft. Are there exemptions for open cockpit, microlights or gyroplanes?

Many thanks

No current requirement in permit a/c.

There's no requirement to carry a first aid kit either.

It's a dashed good idea to do so though. Trust me on this one!

I do agree, but the answer was correct :-) - Sensible mounting and security in flight should satisfy an inspector (no alteration of critical airframe in the process of course!).
