FM Oil Filter Adaptor

Post by Martin Wood » Thu Nov 25, 2010 4:30 pm

I'm interested in fitting an FM engine mounted oil filter adaptor on my 0-200 engine. Worth it? any known problems?

Very easy to fit and it works very well. Gives a very slight temperature decrease (but dependent upon the baffling arrangement).

The cleanliness of the oil was visually much better. In theory you could extend the oil change intervals but I was simply much happier with it being much cleaner.

It gives you much better information on what is happening internally as the filter will collect very small debris, so opening the filter up gives you much more information than the massive holes in the standard 'strainer' that is fitted.

I thought it was money well spent.
