RV7A with tipup canopy - Panel modification.

Post by Mark Hughes » Sat Dec 18, 2010 7:12 pm

I am considering the possibility of modifying the standard Vans F703 Panel to take a Dynon Skyview EFIS centred on the Control stick.

With the tipup canopy, this would involve modifying or moving the F745 ribs.

Has anyone else tried this?

Look at one of the panel assembly programmes such as Xpanel

You can play with that and determine where any potential avionics will fit.

If you are replacing the whole panel, which may be easier, they can supply the CAD file for your laser/water cutter.
