Instrument panel fasteners

Post by counsellormort » Wed Mar 16, 2011 3:39 pm

The main instrument panel, which holds ASI, AI, Altimeter, T&S , DI and engine RPM has become detached from its fastenings.

The old fixings appear to be rubber (or other composite material) moulded round screws and then fastened to brackets on the dash and the back of the panel.

Three questions: Is this a standard method of dampening vibrations? If so, where can I buy more of these fixings? If not what alternatives are there?

Any chance of a picture?

From your discription it is possibly the same type as shown on this website. http://www.vibrationmounts.com/Products1.htm

Here is a UK supplier with different fitting options http://www.polymax.co.uk/Anti-Vibration ... bins.shtml

Thanks, Ian.

The examples shown in the catalogues you sent links for are just the job. I'm going to remove one from the a/c and get the exact measurements.

Thanks again.
