Walter Mikron engine installations

Post by ColinC » Tue Sep 06, 2011 6:19 pm

Hi,

I am trying to get hold of pictures of engine installations of the Walter Mikron in various aircraft to help with designing an engine mount for my own project.

If there are any owners out there who might be able to a few pictures of their engine mount general layout, and particularly how they avoid the area around the carb. I would be very grateful.

regards,

Colin

Mikron engine mount

Post by ColinC » Tue Sep 27, 2011 8:54 pm

I have been sent some photos of a Walter Mikron in a Currie Wot which provides a useful guide. Unfortunately the current owner doesn't have drawings of it.

Does anyone have drawings for the Wot which show the engine mount that I might borrow?

regards,

Colin

Colin, I have a stored Currie Wot with Walter Mikron and you could borrow the engine bearers which are in my loft. I may also have the CWot plans for the Mikron installation somewhere. I'm in Wiltshire. Rupert Hibberd
