Skyforce Locator

Post by Les James » Mon Jul 07, 2008 4:38 pm

Would somebody with a Skyforce Locator installation manual, tell me which wires go where, to connect to a Garmin 100 GPS.

Many thanks

Hi Les,
I bought mine second hand without manual but the notes I made when I installed it many moons ago may be all you need. I removed the 9v battery and shortened the plastic case and then glued the end of the case back on!

Red wire is +'tive supply
Blue wure is -'tive ground
connect green wire to blue , internally
yellow wire is data feed from the GPS

Hope this helps
Richard

Stealing the thread slightly but does anyone know if a Garmin 496 will tranmit data to a Skyforce Locator?.
I am aware that there is basic location on the 496 but you have to flip pages.

Thanks
