Hello fellow LAAers.
I am rebuilding a 1942 Taylorcraft L2 and have got to the covering stage for the wings.
The last time I covered some wings was in the 1990's when I did a Luscombe pair. I covered those with medium weight Ceconite. I did not particularly like working with the seam sealer glue and was wondering if there are less toxic ways of covering wings. They will be finished in aluminium dope.

Is Oratex likely to be acceptable? Claimed to be user friendly and low toxicity. They do a silver finish that might be OK.

I'm hoping to be able to use Oratex to save time and weight - but not money, judging by the price list.

Have you looked at Stewart Systems? They have an STC for the Taylorcraft L2.
