What is the best Black paint option for coating the cylinders ? It has been suggested that a ' Rock hard coatings ' product be used, but it works out way to expensive for doing up to 4 cylinders !

LAS list a black engine enamel, has anyone used it ? And if so what are the results like, especially in terms of longevity ?

Thanks

I used POR 15 as a primer as it is both rust tolerant and high temperature. After that barbecue paint from B+Q works well as again it's temperature tolerant.
The latter comes in aerosol form but you need to spray the former. Frost restoration sell the POR and you'll need to thin it for spraying. A go with a soda blaster cleans the pots up a treat before spraying.
