evra props c90 a65

Post by phil brookman » Sat Nov 08, 2014 6:31 am

does anyone know what diam and pitch is of d11 29b evra prop ..isplease
why evra try and reinvent the wheel is beyond me ...

i notice that props for c90 a 65 are not that much different pitch and diam wise seems strange that with extra hp on the 90 ....especialy when looking at the jodel series

That is because the C90 turns at 2475 for continuous cruise and 2625 for 5 minutes, the A65 max 2300
The speeds are actually quite close when matched in flight, just the A65 doesn't drink so much fuel.

I put the Evra prop details on the site about 6 months ago look back in the forum under Evra.

D 11 29, 68 1/2 X 53 1/2 A65 D112 etc interesting
my prop calculator gives this at 2150 about 108 mph .....am going to measure it along the blade to see if its helical or not ,,,,,very few are ,,but pitch is a biggy factor in many ways

I think you would be very lucky to actually get anything like that. as prop efficiency is a wonderously varied thing and they never give the theoretical speeds.
I get about 85 knots from my D112 with C90 my friend gets slightly less with his and an A65 and he uses a lot less fuel doing it.
