I am helping restore Turbulent APNZ and Alan James has kindly offered to make us a propeller FOC. he is after some info to help sort out the size required../.
He asks..Can you give me details of the engine, ie, HP, max and cruise rpm and also some idea of cruise speed?
the engine is a VW 1600 with the Leburg electronic ignition , but can anyone else supply the other info.
I have suggested a 54" by 32" which is what I would have supplied when I was making props.
Thanks
Ken

I would have said that 36" was far too coarse for the turb unless you have a long runway. Most I used to supply for similar aeroplanes.. Taylor Monos etc was a 34". As I said the 32" gave au useful all round performance.

Had a 54" x 36" on my Mono for the last 27 years, goes like a rocket, well almost. Gets of in 100yrds
or so. We have a two Turbulent's at Little Gransden. One with Evra and one with Newton with a
38" pitch will check dia.
