I have a very early Revmaster that suffered a broken valve and subsequent damage. I am trying to decide whether it's worth repairing. Even Revmaster themselves cannot tell me what is original VW and what is peculiar to Revmaster. Anyone know of any real experts out there that could assist? Preferably in the central south.

You could try Barry Smith -- there's not much he doesn't know about VWs and he was very helpful when I contacted him about a problem with our engine. His contact details are on his website

What has been damaged?

Are you still interested in Revmaster bits? I have original 2100D cylinder heads, pistons and cylinders, plus a Camshaft and followers available if you're interested.
