I've had a simms coupling shear on a Gipsy Major due to a pre-existing crack from the witness marks on it. The mag had not jammed on the engine wasn't shock loaded. Has anyone else had this as even Simon Westley hasn't heard of it and he's been round the circuit a few times;-)
