I was wondering what had happened to the Claim Form promised by the CAA "before the end of January"
Anyone heard anything

Still nothing heard I'm afraid. CAA does seem to have an issue over online stuff, the Self Declaration is still very unreliable and apparently they are having another go at making that work better at the moment.
They are obviously aware that there is going to be quite a rush of claims from day one, so let's be positive and put the delay down to them making a stellar effort into making sure the form works properly - and hopefully for a variety of browsers.

Greetings all....

Hoping someone can cover a few real basics for me here please....
I have bought a project plane which trying to get back into the air.

What are the main options for the new radios in terms of manufacturers?
Ideally looking for a list of the main / all options so I can get an idea on price and dimensions as having to shortly work instrument panel and plan what goes where.

My thanks
Craig

Craig Hi.
Some considerations regarding 8.33Khz radio fitment.

If its going into Panel then get measurement behind and add another 65mm to cover rear connections i.e. Radio Length plus 65mm.

If you are non electrical (Battery Only) then power consumption needs a cursory consideration.

I have a very tight space behind Panel at 160mm. A MicroAir or XCom fits just about but I'm going to go for TRIG TY91 and place Radio Unit in rear baggage area and just fit Remote into panel. Remote is less than 100mm in depth.

Another option is Hand held wired in.
This might help a little.

You're a champ Gerry
Thanks for that
Knowing nothing about radio's that should be enough to get started. Will measure this weekend but think I should have space.
Cheers :)
