Formalities for fitting 8.33 radio

I would intend to fit the new 8.33 radion myself on my permit aircraft but I'm not sure what paperwork etc. is necessary.
Is an inspection required?
I guess there is a CAA/OFCOM form to fill in (where do I find it) - is there a fee?
Any other formalities?

Thanks
Terry

Hi Terry

Fairly straight forward, install get inspector to check then fill form in. No fee for install
but is for registering.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I have checked the LAA information and agree
'install/inspect/LAAMOD7 form/flight test and flight test report' all to be sent to the LAA.

Two questions:
1. Apart from the inspector's fee is there a further fee payable in this sequence? I can't find a fee mentioned for the MOD7.

2. Separately does something have to be sent to the CAA/OFCOM or is that done by the LAA?

Thanks!
Terry

No fee to LAA

Send completed form REF DAP 1902 to CAA/OFCOM with fee, about £20 for 3 years
