Separate Intercom?

Post by C Rule » Fri Dec 09, 2016 4:31 pm

We are installing a Trig TY96 8.33 Radio in the A/C to replace a KY97 which is 25Khz
The current setup uses a panel mounted intercom (Dave Clark) as an interface between headsets and radio.
Has anyone any experience of using the internal intercom in the Trig box as a stand alone system?
Any advice greatfully received.

I have found the intercom in the Trig to be excellent in my own aircraft and also the one in a Europa that I fly.

I removed my 25 khz radio and seperate intercom and installed a TRig TY91 - The radio and internal intercom work well in my RV6A. Lighter and easier to locate, gives a lot more spare instrument real estate!
