Hi,
Anyone considering the G5 as a complete replacement for the 6 pack on a Microlight.
If so, is the non tso version adequate, and are there any hoops to go through with the LAA?

Hi Andrew, have you seen the news on the home page? I have no experience myself, but LAA Engineering team have written a Technical Leaflet on the topic.

Hi,
Thanks for that. As the only sensor is the pitot, that should be OK.
The bit about reliability is not so certain.
I cannot find any info on serviceability in the manual.
Garmin will just say "buy a tso version" !
Will pursue.

Hi Andrew, take a look at BMAA Technical leaflet 027 here: http://www.bmaa.org/files/til027_2_inst ... ionics.pdf
I think you'll find the minimum requirements are very basic and the G5 will be more than adequate.
