Factory built SportCruiser PS28 maintenance

Post by shoner » Mon Jan 15, 2018 2:56 pm

What are the current Regulations for maintaining a factory built Light Sport Aircraft such as the SportCruiser PS28 in the UK.?
Can it be owner maintained or does the EASA Certification effectively make it a light Aircraft which has to be maintained by an Aircraft Engineer and issued with a a CAA Certificate of Airworthiness?

You will have to find a licensed aircraft engineer the PS28. They might be happy for you to do the work on it. Worth asking.
Any body can work on their aircraft not matter if its C of A, LAA permit or EASA permit. You just have to find someone happy to sign off the work once the work has been completed. Even LAA permit aircraft needs to have the work signed for by a LAA inspector. That is except pilot maintenance.
