Does:
http://publicapps.caa.co.uk/modalapplic ... il&id=8310
mean that I could now convert my Lifetime CAA PPL licence to EASA without first having to get an EASA Class 2 medical?
I'm currently on Self-declaration, which means that hitherto I have not been eligible to convert my licence, unless I first get a Class 2; so I wasn't going to bother.

The answer is Yes
But its only for a year then you need a medical. I was talking to my CFI at Cumbernauld and now I am just filling my form out as I type.
As ever I maybe corrected on this!!

Or (as I read it) the exemption only applies after the licence has been issued (so long as it was issued before 8th April). So it can't be used in leui of a Class 2 in order to apply for the EASA conversion?

In the absence of clarity, please let me know how you get on with your application as soon as you're able; not much time left now.
