Crankshaft Cad plating

I'm looking for a UK company that can re cad plate and then de-embrittle my C85 crankshaft front oil seal & prop hub..

Hi Paul,

I'm confused...does your C85 have a separate prop hub that fits on a tapered crankshaft? Or is it all one-piece (in which case I'm sure it's not cad-plated, but willing to be corrected!)

Hi Rob,

Its a one peice variety... But pretty sure its cad plated. Its certainly golden in colour etc.

Try calling Deltair for advice (023 9225 5255). I would have thought a metal coating/treatment like this would need to be approved by the OEM or engine manufacturer?

Hi Tony,

Thanks I may do that. I know that Aircraft Specialties Services in the US offer the facility, but was hoping that there would be a similar company here?

I have had 14k worth of extremely bad experience, as have others i speak to, with the UK company mentioned above - BEWARE!
