Glass panel in jabiru j430

Hi everyone
Please excuse me I’m a newbie to all this forum stuff
I’m soon Starting my build of a jab j430
I’d really like to put a clean glass panel in it
Wanted to know what the latest rules are re back up instruments

Hi Robert,
Whilst you still need a compass, ASI and Altimeter as backup instruments, they no longer need to be steam driven (apart from the compass), you can now use electronic instruments suitably independantly powered). You can find details from the LAA here:

As a backup to my Dynon Skyview, I used the MGL combined ASI/Altimeter as I think it gives the clearest display, and it's the cheapest. It doesn't come with a built in battery backup however, I had to design my own, with the help of the Sparkies on the Matronics Aeroelectrics list. Happy to share the design if you choose to go down that route.

Robert,
Leave the decision til late in the build, new stuff comes out all the time and builds occasionally take a while to do, you dont want to fit outdated electronics.
