Removing Old Contact Adhesive from Fabric / Ceconite?

Any ideas on how to clean old contact adhesive off please?

If it's Poly-tack or similar, then MEK is the solvent (and gloves and a respirator!)

I had this issue a few years ago when I wanted to remove glue (removed upholstry panel inside cabin).
I found an AVGAS soaked rag worked very well.
It slowly softens the glue and eventually dissolves it away.

MEK will remove the dope/butyrate as well leaving bare fabric.....

Thank-you,

I used carburettor cleaner - worked very well!

The secret seemed to be to apply some, work it in, then leave it.
Second and third time around, the glue lifted pretty easily.

Some areas needed scraping off too.

A hairdryer and a soft scraper work pretty well too (don't tell the wife you've borrowed the hairdryer!)
