Electric trim

Post by wkilner » Mon Sep 16, 2019 5:08 pm

I'd like to install an electric trim using a servo from LAS into the elevator of our Jodel D120. I know it's been done before many times. I've seen them at fly-ins / rally etc. Is this a recognized mod? Which form do I need?

Thanks,

Hi Wayne, suggest you call Engineering and ask them if it is an approved mod on a Jodel. If it has been done before it will be easier to do it exactly the same as was approved. Not sure I have ever seen an electric trim servo on a Jodel elevator myself but it's an interesting proposition. Good luck and if you go ahead I'd be interested in something for the mag.

Thanks Brian. You've got me wondering now. Have I seen them installed or not? I'm pretty sure I have. I'll ask the Jodel discussion group online.
