Can you do your own maintenance on your aircraft engine if you are a qualified and certified motor vehicle engine mechanic ?

Sounds like you will be over qualified for most tasks :D I am assuming LAA permit aircraft? Yes you can, but it is all done under your LAA inspectors ticket. So the first call to make is to him and agree what he will authorise you to do.

Yes on a Laa kitfox with a rotax 582 simple two stroke engine
