Source of Stainless Steel Piano wire

I need to replace a couple of hinge pins in my flaps.
They are 3/32" stainless piano (music) wire.
It's proving very difficult to find a supplier, any ideas?

So far Vans can sell them to me but that seems a bit excessive!

If not suitable, maybe the manufacturers mentioned, K&S Engineering, can help.

They don't have stainless in the length I need unfortunatly, or at least not as a stock item.
I did find a company in Sheffield that would do it but they want £75 for 1.5m.

Dion,

£75 is probably less that it will cost to get them from USA!
Have you asked Bruntons if they can help?

Thanks Mike, they were my first thought.
I've had another look and I can only see 0.090" in 'high carbon steel' not stainless.
I'm not sure if that would be ok.

That's really fascinating Mike, and I'm very impressed. Thank you.
How on earth did you make that appear.
Although I can get the part to appear by entering the number you gave, I can't for the life of me find it any other way - even though I now know it's there.
Also I assume you just know that -P2 is .090"

How did you do that ?? :?: :?:

Have a look on the Aircraft Spruce website.
LAS get weekly ships from Aircraft Spruce and that looks like, possibly, an Aircraft Spruce part number.

Yes, anything in the Spruce catalogue can usually be sourced via LAS or Spruce Europe in Germany.

It is like a crossword - you have to know what question to ask to find out the answer. Very frustrating sometimes.

I'm impressed and I think I've now reverse engineered how you did it !!
LAS are sending me some as we speak - due tommorow so we'll see if it's the correct spec.
