Does anyone know what the corrosion protection on the Escapade is like? Steel tubes and British weather might be a problem. Not many on the register so difficult to find owners.

Most are BMAA so perhaps a call to their engineering ?
If not we have two based at Jackrell's Farm since ~ 2006. One is UK prototype.
Another long term owner still around had one at Billingshurst strip though since sold on.

Thanks for that. Do you have contact details for the prototype one if it's LAA as I'm trying to transfer to a SLA and need the build standard

They're BMAA a/c.
Terry Francis of Reality Escapade was the U.K. kit supplier,. The airframe calculations were originally done long ago by an ex BMAA forum fellow, if need be you should consult them.
Terry is regrettably deceased and his business absorbed into that of the current agency who chose to widen the tail and lift the rudder height with self servo extensions.
Personally l think quite unnecessary but nevertheless that's how they are now.

Rob,

The two here are BMAA.
I thought the example where the seat shifted and killed the pilot last year was LAA. Maybe they therefore do have access to whatever spec you wish to consult.
Why not just continue to use yours as a microlight as prescribed, less hassle as an established route ?
