Hi all,

Can anyone recommend any companies that can manufacture an aircraft canopy? I have the plans, specifications, frame and what's let left of the original canopy which might be useful for a mould.

Many thanks

I think this question has been asked in the past and, from memory, I think the answer is "no" unfortunately.
There may be some homebuilder/individuals who have had limited success in making their own, but it is a complex procedure needing controlled heat and possibly, pressure applied.
I think there was an LAA magazine article about someone's attempts a few years ago. Perhaps LAA Engineering can advise.
There are a few companies in USA who may be able to manufacture bespoke canopies but likely $$$$ involved.
Try LP Aero and see what they suggest.

The PFA article on blowing a canopy was for a Corby Starlet ( I think ) by the builder, and after a couple of attempts he made a perfectly good one.

It could be worth investigating the various organisations who repair gliders. They may be able to suggest solutions

I found White Ellerton near St Albans very helpful. They have just made me a lovely canopy for my Menestrel, following several years of effort trying to make my own.
