It is called the PC 60 and at least 1 Jodel and The Coates Swalesong II are powered by it. It is basically a C-90 with a prop flange that has an odd layout of bolts and a carb on top. All modified to C-90 style. A lot scrapped by the USAF in UK so there are a few about. I have a manual on the type.

JamesThere are a few PC60's about. At Crosland Moor we had G-BAPR, a homebuilt Jodel D11, PC60 powered. Where 'PR is now, I know not, but it did go south to a new home...I've also flown in a Tailwind, PC60 powered.

Hi Dave, BAPR was owned by a couple of guys who flew out of Oaksey Park near Kemble. It suffered a ground loop about three or four years ago and is currently in store awaiting repair, though damage was not too bad as it goes. They bought a 1050 in its place, which is why there was no urgency to repair PR. It still has the PC60 in it.

Hi Brian
Very interesting to hear more of 'PR.
When I collected 'PR she was in a dusty old outbuilding at Ashbourne disused. If ever an aircraft should have been christened "Cyclops" it was 'PR, the carb was on top of the engine, so didn't blend into the cowlings at all ! No problems with the aeroplane, but the engine did stop on short final into Crosland Moor (no electric starter either)...
regards
David
