Bit confused as to what I may or may not do, so need a bit of guidance.
I hold an SLMG(FI) rating, and am a member of a SLMG/TMG syndicate at a gliding club.
A glider pilot wishes to join the syndicate, and would like me to train him to SLMG standard. He holds a GPL, but no other licence.
As a gliding instructor, I am used to giving training for no payment, and would not expect any payment to train this chap in the SLMG.
As it is not aerial work, I am thinking that the restrictions outlined in
ORS802 & 3 would not apply; and he would have to go elsewhere and do a quick conversion before the flight with an examiner.
Question is, would the flying training he does with me in our syndicte SLMG be valid?
He only wants a NPPL at the moment by the way.
Many Thanks
Ian K

Hi Ian
The BGA are paid to support the NPPL SLMG and would be the people to direct your question to. I suggest you call the Leicester office.
www.nppl.uk.com has plenty of info too.
