There have been a number of thefts of engines from microlights over the years as some of these are now very expensive. I wonder if there will be a case of a group A aircraft going the same way? Gypsy Major cranks for example are now unobtainable and so very expensive, even used.
Might be worth a look at airfield security and insurance guys. Hopefully this is just me being over cautious as usual.

A Gipsy Major is a good bit bigger and heavier than a Rotax 912. The market would be rather specialised. That being said, there are vermin around who will steal or smash anything and the only way to protect yourself is to insure against loss.
If you need a Gipsy Major crank, they are readily available. I am acquainted with several cranks who absolutely love them.
