great service

Post by johnmichie » Wed Mar 28, 2012 12:43 am

I flew in to Turweston today for lunch but on landing it was obvious there was something wrong with the nosewheel, which was found to have a flat tyre.

I had tools to remove the wheel but not to separate the halves. Despite it being lunchtime, Malcolm McBride found some and helped me extract the tube, which was beyond repair. He then sauced a suitable replacement from the maintenance hangar next door and helped fit it.

Result - within an hour the plane was airworthy, there was still time for lunch (excellent HEC), and the day wasn't spoilt.

Thanks Malcolm, great service from the LAA as usual.

Who could ask for better?

I've just had my new Certificate of Validity by return of post, it couldn't have been done quicker unless I'd gone to Turweston personally.

Great service and thanks to the HQ team
