LAA AGM

Post by Brian Hope » Mon Jul 16, 2012 1:56 pm

As mentioned in the July magazine, the LAA AGM will be held on Saturday, September 29 and will be preceded by an opportunity to meet the Engineering Team and listen to a presentation on the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight by former Lancaster pilot Squadron Leader Stuart Reid. It is intended to off a buffet lunch at moderate cost and the office would appreciate some idea of the number of members who are interested in attending the event, and also whether lunch would be required. It promises to be a very interesting day, so if you think you might like to attend please email Penny at [email protected]
Thank you.

I was just at a VAC visit to the BBMF which was hosted by Stuart Reid. He gave us a very entertaining talk and tour around and is a real enthusiast with a lot of knowledge about flying the aircraft and their history. Well worth going to his talk if you can. unfortunatley I cant make it.

Obviously a good turn out - we had between 35 and 40 fly-in visitors for the AGM.

Now that the LAA AGM is all done and dusted - would it seem remiss of me to enquire as to how long this post is to keep its 'Top of the Bill' position.
I'm not undermining the importance of the AGM , but it's a bit like looking at a copy of yesterdays weather forecast now .
