A number of threads have popped up over the years concerning the possibility of windfarms, power lines and other obstacles being built near the vicinity of aerodromes, followed by appeals to respond to consultations or petitions to stop them happening.
Instead of gathering thousands of signatures, should expert and trusted assessments actually be conducted and the CAA or LAA be granted powers to veto such developments in the interests of safety?
