CEO visit

Post by Alan Kilbride » Sat Jul 30, 2016 8:32 pm

Had a visit by Steve Slater today at Full Sutton when he dropped off some LAA flags etc for our fly in August 13/14th.
It was really good to see him in the provinces and a pleasure to be able to have an informal and friendly chat.
1/2 a dozen LAA members were able to bend his ear informally and I feel the visit was worth more than just dropping stuff off for the fly in.
Thanks for coming and listening to a few whinges Steve.

It was my pleasure Alan. Great Yorkshire hospitality, a nice grass airfield and an interesting collection of aircraft (and owners!). What's not to like!

Look forward to seeing you again I hope, at the fly-in on the 14th!!

In answer to your last paragraph Chris...................Yes.

How anyone can even contemplate equality with Yorkshire is beyond all understanding.
Lancashire is next door to perfect......it's border is with Yorkshire.

It was coincidence I happened to be passing York on a run to the NE. Would love to have dropped stuff and had a chat at Deanland, trouble is I can't find time to be heading that way this weekend! Next time perhaps?

Brilliant,,,,, :D ,,,I feel I've just been "Ecky-Thoomped".

Don't feel that you now have to attend every Fly-In in the country now Steve. It's just a bit of friendly North/South banter.
We'll rustle up a few of our own flags ! :D [sorry, was that nearly a pun]
