Hi Tristan,
When you register for a new build, the LAA will send you a build record book, which are signed off by Inspectors at set stages. Those stages are numbered, and there should be a list of what each stage is at the front of the book.
1. Is usually something like inspect workshop
2. to x stages May be something like spar assembly before building wing, and are aimed to ensure there are no hidden horrors once the aircraft is completed.
Etc
If the list is missing from the paperwork you have, indeed if the build book is missing, you will need to get a duplicate from the LAA. They are type specific, and unless there have been tweaks to the list in the light of experience, it will be the same for all KR2. I would not expect it to be available on-line for now.
Since you do have the stages and dates, I wonder if you do actually have the build record?

Hi Ian
A long time ago Carl Butler was trying to get an increase in max weight. I think the main sticking point was the diameter of the wing attach bolts. He had modified one with larger bolts and we flew it dual to meet FD so he and Carl could do a test flight together.
I think that the result of that was that FD then asked for an answer increase in horizontal stAb size bebeford he would allow an increase in weight.
The guy who owned. He aeroplane then sold it so the development was taken no further. However, depending how n the stage of build you might be able to incorporate mods to a ncrease all
Up weight.
Bear in my bd we flew (with permission) above normal max weight and pitch sensitivity was definitely a bit issue.

Hey Tristan, I am sure you've seen the incredible article in this month's [April] LA mag. If that doesn't whet your appetite and get the creative juices flowing then nothing will.
I have followed the progress of this journey with awe and amazement and cannot but help thinking that Colin and his KR2 deserve recognition alongside names such as Lindberg , Henshaw and a small group of other truly exceptional characters of aviation .
Shorting two wires together in a cockpit full of ferry-tanks takes a bit of doing , but possibly a bit less dangerous than the eventual alternative . Colin and Itzy,,,,,,,,,,,,We salute you .
Gerry, I loved your Corben Ace too by the way.
Oh and Brian & Team,,,,,,,,,,,Well Done . Another good 'un !
